Kirksville’s own BJ Allen & Blue Voodoo topped the field in the Blues Blast competition at MoJo’s in Columbia, MO, on Oct 18th, and will represent MoBlues Society in the semi-final round of the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN, in January, 2010.

With an expected field of 100+ participants, IBC has grown to be the premiere event showcasing the best in un-signed blues acts from around the country and indeed, around the world.

BJ & the boys will be competing in the band performance category and have also submitted their current CD, Heartless, in the Best Self-Produced CD category at IBC, 2009.

Circle M Music proudly presents a live performance by Kcoalition, at the store, 218 N. Franklin St, Kirksville, Saturday, Nov 21 from 2-5 pm.

The Kcoalition kids are from the Macon/Moberly area and range in age from 11 to 16.  Their performances feature original works as well as cover material and they will be rockin’ the house at Circle M Music to benefit Love, Inc, Food Bank, a ministry of Kirksville’s First Church of the Nazarene.   Admission is free with donation of a non-perishable food item.
